The production is atmospheric, colourful and beautifully costumed and propped. It utilizes a full scale composite set plus various cloths to represent the magical sky for the night-time journey, Fezziwig’s ball, a London Street and various atmospheric gauzes. Intimate, moving scenes contrast with full stage, energetic company numbers and Dickens’ timeless classic is transported magically and with integrity from the page to the stage.

The professional cast is joined by teams of talented youngsters from the surrounding area who play the various juvenile roles and urchin ensembles. We audition, rehearse and license the teams of youngsters. The search for them and the various subsequent updates offer tremendous opportunities for pre-publicity for the show.

A recipient of The Whitbread Theatre Personality Award, for services to theatre, and the North West Woman of Achievement Award, Anne Dalton is probably best known for her musical, ‘Her Benny’. It won The International Quest for New Musicals initiated by Richard Stilgoe, with a team of judges which included Cameron MacIntosh and Julian Slade and having initially sold out the Liverpool Empire, it continues to tour with great success.
