The Manchester Acoustic Blues Festival has run as part of the independent Manchester Biennial Arts celebration since 2013. Most often referred to as ‘MABS Fest’ the event established itself as one of the UK’s leading roots and acoustic events attracting performers from all over the world. Due to the dreadful terror attack in May 2017 the event was postponed and later held outside the City at a different venue later that year.
For 2019 in a collaboration with Floral Pavilion New Brighton the event will run as a one day event as part of the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain. MABS Fest continues to showcase a wide cross section of the very best in acoustic blues music in Britain today.
