We all want to meet people from history. The trouble is everyone is dead! So it's time to prepare yourselves for a special one-hour production of Horrible Histories!
Could you beat battling Boudicca? What if you caught the putrid plague? Would you lose your heart or your head to Horrible Henry? Will Parliament survive gunpowder Guy? Would you stand and deliver to dastardly Dick Turpin? Escape the clutches of Burke and Hare and move to the groove with party queen, Victoria!
It's the history of Britain with the nasty bits left in!
"The Horrible Histories Stage shows have become a bit of a British institution. It's not hard to spot why. Think Fry and Laurie, mixed with Little Britain and a dash of Monty Python. It's sparky, cheeky and covered in poo!" The Guardian
"Blood, guts and gross gags - a sharp 60 minutes through centuries of our island's barminess!"Evening Standard.
Relaxed Performance (Autism Friendly) A relaxed performance is about welcoming adults and children with special needs (including Autistic Spectrum Conditions) and, crucially, their families to the theatre to a performance where those needs are accounted for with a more relaxed atmosphere and some changes to the production itself if necessary eg: lowering of lights or sound at certain points of the show. There is a special ‘chill-out’ zone which can be used during any point of the performance. This will be a safe and supervised space for audience members to come out if they should wish to take time out. And there’ll be lots of friendly members of the Front of House team on hand!
We also have a 'social story' visual guide to our building for information. You can download the visual guide by click here.
