As an accomplished interpreter of American popular song and a former backing singer for everyone from Sinatra to Kiss, Marlene has performed internationally in venues including Carnegie Hall, as part of the Kool Jazz Fest, and most of the clubs in New York City notably Birdland, and The Blue Note. She has recorded Hank Jones, Bucky Pizzarelli, Tommy Flanagan, Marian McPartland, Dr. Billy Taylor, and many more.
