An Evening With Pam Ayres
Sunday 13th October 2013
Pam Ayres brings her latest show to the Floral Pavilion to coincide with the publication of her new book of poetry, copies of which she will be signing after the show.
Pam Ayres’ work is funny, and approachable. It sounds simple, as though dashed off, but this is deceptive. Her hair-trigger timing, her eye for the detail of everyday life, and for the absurdity therein, makes for an art that hides art. Pam has sold millions of books, CDs, and DVDs over the years, and she is still a regular on TV and Radio, on programmes such as Just A Minute, Ayres On The Air, QI, Countdown, and The One Show.
“PAM AYRES has an incredible way with an audience. She was really one of the funniest comics I’ve seen, and it’s because of her rapport. She just treats the audience like a huge roomful of friends.” THE PRESS - Pam Ayres, Grand Opera House, York – March 2012

Ed Byrne: Roaring Forties
Phil McIntyre Entertainments Proudly Presents: Ed Byrne: Roaring Forties

While for others this might result in a crisis that prompts the purchase of a sportscar, Ed embraces middle age with open arms. Come join him, as he truly comes of age and gives out his clarion cry: "I am in my Forties. HEAR ME ROAR!"

The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show Live
Based on the novels by Douglas Adams
**** “It’s a big thumbs up… A fun ride.” Daily Mail, Patrick Marmion
Following a smash hit UK Tour in 2012, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is back in this ground-breaking new stage production - a radio show like you never saw before - packed with laughter, really wild sound effects, a live band, HD projections, and drinks with extremely silly names. Joining Simon Jones as Arthur Dent, and Hitchhiker’s favourites from the legendary Radio and TV casts, will be a VIP Guest Voice Of The Book (including in 2012 Terry Jones, Clive Anderson, Phill Jupitus and Andrew Sachs). “It was thrilling to see Hitchhiker’s performed live, especially with members of the original cast.” Northampton Chronicle & Echo
“The show itself is a technical triumph taking every aspect of the show produced so far and placing it firmly in the 21st Century… this version is perhaps the best that I have witnessed so far.” Sebastian Gahan, Liverpool Live
“9/10 – Don’t Panic!” Alan Weston, Liverpool Echo
